And the name of the story is...

Pay attention, please!

Sometimes I ask myself: “Who Am I?” “Am I crazy?” “Is it right?” “Are you following me?” In other words: “Can you undersand what I’m trying to say?” Life is beautiful...or...is it?

I study every day. Yes, it is very boring. Today is Wednesday and I’m studying right now. Yesterday was Tuesday and I studied a lot. Tomorrow will be Thursday and nothing will change. I will study too. As you can see studying is all I’ve been doing. If I have some time I look at my cell phone. If I Have more time later, I will do it again. If I had a lot of time I would only do it, I guess. I got bad grades recently. If I had studied more and if I had used the mobile less maybe I would have gotten better grades. I know what I am supposed to do but I don’t. I should follow my teachers and parents advice. I know I must study if I really want to have better chances in life but it is so good not to do anything.

People don’t help me much. I have many friends and everywhere I go they come to me with some distractions. It happens everywhere and at anytime. I’ve already told them not to do it but it is helpless.

Today I arrived at school and the teacher told us to write a text with the following tittle: “What did you do this morning?” Some of these days she had asked us to write a text with the title: “What have you done so far this year?”

Suddendly, my mobile rang. It is Jenny on the line. She aked me: “What are you going to do tonight?” I was dumb shocked. She is gorgeous. Is she going to asked me out? I thought.

And the name of the story is...Grammar.

RUDE QUESTIONS | C2 LEVEL TEXT EXAMPLE

Why is it rude and socially unacceptable to ask certain questions? The Independent  -  Christine Manby Picture the scene. You’re at a party. You know no one but the host and they’ve had to rush to the kitchen to rescue some smoking vol-au-vents from the oven. You spot a friendly looking fellow guest, also on their own, and sidle over to make their acquaintance by the buffet table. You swap names. You compare notes on your respective journeys to the venue. You talk about the weather. Hasn’t it been strange this year? So far so good. Now what? The host passes by with those vol-au-vents. You grab one and shove it in your mouth. And before you’ve entirely finished eating it you come out with the line , “So, what do you do?” If this were the 1970s, the needle would skitter across the vinyl on the record player, bringing the music to an abrupt and ugly end. As it is, the entire room falls silent as everyone turns to stare. It’s not that your mouth is still full of vol-au-v
