In January 2015 I went to the
beach with my parents. My grandmother and her second husband went with us. I
was very excited with the idea. I really love the beach. It was my second time
going to the beach.
We went to a beach in Santa
Catarina. My mum drives a school van. So, we used the school van to go to the
beach. The trip was awesome. The van is big. My mum removed one row of seats
and placed a mattress on the floor of the van. So, I could sleep there
comfortably during the trip.
When we arrived at the beach it
was very sunny. It was hot. It was beautiful. As soon as we arrived, we went
straight to the sand. There, I met two girls. They were playing on the sand. I
got closer to them and tried to talk. But, there was a problem. They didn’t
speak Portuguese. They were Argentinian. I don’t speak Spanish. But I tried. I improvised
words to talk to them. I could do it because Portuguese and Spanish are a
little bit similar. The people who passed by, thought we were all Argentinian. My
mum heard people commenting about it. We played on the beach and we also played
in the house where we were staying. It was very cool.
We stayed there for one week.
When I left the girls would still be there a bit more.
